Support us.
Together, we are building a strong community through the arts.
The Academy Theatre has been run as a not-for-profit enterprise overseen by a Board of volunteers for over fifty years. This is a remarkable achievement which, once again, speaks to the high esteem with which Community members value the Academy's role. The Academy Theatre Foundation is committed to managing and preserving the Theatre while supporting and promoting cultural and performing arts within the City of Kawartha Lakes.
Communities are defined, largely, by the traditions that have helped shape them. The Academy Theatre for Performing Arts has been a constant source of joy and inspiration to this Community and, with ongoing support, will continue to be so well into the next century.
How you can help...
If you would like to offer a financial contribution to the Theatre, there are several ways to do so, including the following:
* You may wish to make a cash donation. Donations of $20 or more will be issued a tax receipt;
* You may wish to participate in our raffle which is currently ongoing (details below);
* You may wish to participate in our 50/50 draw which takes place at all performances;
* You may wish to discuss the possibility of an endowment fund or estate gift;

Any of these possibilities and more can be further explored by speaking with an Academy Theatre Foundation Board representative. Please feel free to call the Theatre office at 324-7742 in order to ensure that someone get in touch with you promptly.
